Being out of the clutches of mom and dad for the first time can be exciting; sometimes too exciting. Depending on the personality, it’s not unusual for college students to push the envelope a little at the beginning. With no one to tell you when to study or when you can go out, it can be very tempting to do less of the former and more of the latter. That’s all part of the college experience. The social aspects are very important. Most students get to the point (some sooner than others) where they recognize that academics are important as well. When you do that, the college experience can’t be beat.
