The poverty line in the United States would represent a lot of money in other parts of the world. The same logic applies to wealth. The income and resources that would make you wealthy if many parts of the world may not provide a decent standard of living in many Western countries. Ultimately, in any country, issues of poverty and wealth come down to the concept of inequality. It’s not a particular number that makes you rich or poor, but rather how that number relates to other people living in the same society.
