Being elected, and choosing to accept a position where you are making decisions that impact other people shows that you are willing accept the responsibility of being a leader. One of the challenges of leading others is that sometimes you will make decisions that people don’t agree with. Doing what you believe is correct while facing opposition shows character. Being in student government isn’t easy, but if you have the willingness and dedication, the rewards are well worth it.
