Protecting the environment is not an easy job. Both the short term danger of breathing in pollutants as well as the longer term dangers such as global warming must be considered. To protect the environment we must first understand what the factors are that pose a danger. As new technologies are constantly appearing, it can take considerable effort to evaluate the danger. Once the environmental consequences are determined, a plan must be put into place to minimize the danger to people and to the environment.
