Geologists are concerned with understanding and using the natural resources of the planet in the most effective manner. They also seek to understand and predict what changes are occurring on the planet so future conditions can be planned for. Many geologists are employed in the private sector. The job of these geologists is to find and develop the earth’s resources that have financial value as products.
