Meteorology
Most people know what a meteorologist does; sort of. To most of us, the meteorologist is Al Roker on the today show or the other weather people that we see and hear on local television and radio. We don’t really understand what they do; we just know they tell us (sometimes incorrectly) if it is going to rain today. Meteorology is the study … Keep Reading → of all of the weather related elements in the troposphere. The troposphere is the lower layer of the atmosphere that directly impacts the daily weather conditions on earth. Meteorologists use technology to monitor things like air pressure, air temperature, winds and amount of moisture. The different weather conditions are evaluated based on the weather that resulted from those exact conditions in the past. This allows meteorologists to look at a set of weather conditions and determine what the resulting weather will be. As we all know, this is not a perfect process.
