During the era of Confucius, which was about 2500 years ago, China was forming advanced theories of philosophy and government. Shortly after that time though, China started developing different parts of the country that would fight against each other for years. The Ch’in dynasty reunified China a little over 2000 years ago and they built the legendary Great Wall of China. The Ch’in dynasty didn’t last long and over the years a number of other dynasties ruled China. Modern Chinese history is marked by the formation of the People’s Republic of China.
