An example is the creation of the telescope. When man was able to look into space and see what had only previously been speculated on, the understanding of the universe changed forever. In later years the growth of nations was directly tied to technology. The Industrial Revolution brought the greatest economic changes in the history of the world. In more recent times the use of technology such as computers and the internet has not only changed the way business is conducted but it can also impact politics; the “Facebook Revolution” that took place in Egypt in 2011 in a recent example of this.
