The trial lawyer who specializes in criminal law has very little in common with the corporate lawyer who works in the tax department at an accounting firm. They are completely different jobs requiring very different skill sets. Lawyers are employed in such diverse areas as real estate, constitutional law, international law, environmental law, family law, and numerous other areas. If and when we find ourselves in need of a lawyer it is very important that we choose someone with experience in our area of need.
