Constitutional law often deals with controversial subjects that people are passionate about. An example of this is the right to carry a weapon. The Second Amendment to the constitution gives people the right to bear arms. The Supreme Court however, has consistently granted states the right to limit the Second Amendment. It is the job of the constitutional lawyer to understand how the constitution is currently being interpreted and advise clients accordingly.
