The process of creating animated films is an arduous one. The drawings are created in sequences that when they are combined in rapid fashion creates the illusion of movement. It is similar to the process by which regular feature films are made but instead of pictures taken with a camera, drawings are used instead. The talented artists and animators painstakingly trace out and then color in picture after picture with the smallest of variations between the pictures. Animators need to be not only talented artists, but they must have the ability to visualize the level of distinction that each drawing must have from the other drawings.
