The Academy Awards, which are presented every year for best contributions in film still have a lot of prestige. The public only really cares about a few of the many categories, but the award is still respected. There are other awards such as the People’s Choice and the Golden Globe awards that are presented in a variety of categories, some of which are for films. The Tony Awards are presented for different categories of Broadway shows and the Emmy Awards are for television shows. Music has too many award shows to remember. The Grammy’s is the classic music award, but there are many others including genre specific shows.
