While they may occasionally have … Keep Reading → roles where they speak; in most cases they do not. It is how they look that is important to their jobs. It is a difficult field for those involved. Beauty fades and the modeling industry never runs out of attractive young people who are ready to replace the previous generation. Issues such as eating disorders are not uncommon because the need to stay thin is such an essential part of the job. We get to see and hear the so called “supermodels” for years, but the majority of the models work for a short time and then their career is over. For those that accept this as part of the profession, they can move on; for some others that transition is difficult.
