Another classic cult movie is the rock documentary satire This is Spinal Tap which was released in 1984. It was done so well that many people were not sure if the movie was supposed to be serious or not. It wasn’t; and it’s very clever and funny. Another movie that fits the cult classic formula is Harold and Maude. It is a very funny dark comedy about a man obsessed with death. Like most cult classics, the film didn’t do well when released. Over the years though, the movie has been lauded by critics and fans alike as a brilliant comedy.
