One of the most popular forms of dramatic films has been the crime drama. Classic movies such as The Godfather (I and II), The French Connection, and the underrated film, The Usual Suspects are some of the best examples of this type of movie. Sometimes dramatic films deal with subject matter that is both moving and disturbing; Sophie’s Choice, Schindler’s List, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest are all excellent films of this type. Perhaps the best thing about the drama is the fact that we never know what to expect. It is only limited by the imaginations of the writer and director.
