The classic Hollywood mystery and thriller films have produced some of the most memorable films and performances in the history of filmmaking. Other successful writers such as Mickey Spillane and Raymond Chandler also had numerous books made into mystery films. One of the finest examples of the mystery thriller was the courtroom drama 12 Angry Men, which chronicles the emotions of a jury trying to reach a verdict in a murder trial.
