Cary Grand and Doris Day are two stars who made many romantic comedies that people eagerly looked forward to. Hugh Grant is a more recent example of an actor who often appears in the romantic comedy. Romantic comedies sometimes get criticized for a lack of depth. While there is certainly a lot of “fluff” in the genre, there are also many excellent films.
