New fans of the genre would probably be amused by some of the earliest of the films which didn’t have the benefit of technology and special effects to produce the blockbusters that we see today. Some of the most successful films have been series of films; The Lord of the Rings films, The Harry Potter Films, and the Star Trek films have seen millions of fans produce billions of dollars in revenue for the filmmakers. Other big hits include Avatar and Alice in Wonderland.
