We know that people have always had an interest in science fiction. The idea of what might be out in the universe has been the inspiration for many works of fiction. Star Trek somehow managed to capture the fascination with this subject and create a set of characters that people relate to and enjoy watching over and over. Star Trek has also benefitted from the emergence of technology and special effects that allows for the creation of realistic alternate worlds and experiences. Whatever the reason for its success, the Star Trek franchise isn’t likely to go away anytime soon.
