For most people of a certain age, the movie western brings to mind the films of John Wayne. Wayne made well over 200 films, many of them in the western genre. Not all westerns limit themselves to a serious look at the old west. Movies such as Blazing Saddles, Cat Ballou, and City Slickers took humorous looks at the western life.
