He was also a master performer who was very aware of the value of publicity. In the 1970’s and 1980’s Doug Henning helped to bring magic back to prominence with his act that culminated in his appearing on Broadway in the appropriately named, The Magic Show. In recent years Las Vegas has been the home to some of the best magic acts. Siegfried and Roy became famous for their flamboyant show featuring animals and David Copperfield is considered by many to be the best combination of magician and performer.
