We still watch comedies and crime dramas and cartoons, not to mention numerous educational television options. One of the fairly new trends is the popular reality show. From American Idol, to Survivor, and countless other shows, TV as real life has become very popular. Another very popular trend are the many cooking and food shows. It may not make you a better cook to watch the Food Network, but it will probably make you hungry.
