Famous for being made by the French, croissants are available in the U.S and many other places. Some of the most popular types of cakes for breakfast are muffins and scones. They go great with coffee, and they just feel right as part of breakfast. Other popular breakfast treats are different kinds of pastries and coffee cakes. As for bread, many types are consumed both toasted and untoasted. Sometimes bread is cooked as in French Toast or bread pudding. For many people, there is just something about breads and cakes for breakfast that is irresistible.
