Examples of ingredients that are sometimes used are peanut butter, mint, and caramel. One of the heated debates in brownie recipes revolves around whether or not to include nuts in and/or on top of the brownies. While some people feel passionately one way or the other; as the baker we always get to decide what the final ingredients will be. Some people choose to split the difference and make half with and half without nuts. As is always the case when using nuts, make sure to let people know that they have been included to avoid any problems with allergic reactions.
