Dessert toppings are hardly limited to sauces. Fruit is very popular as a topping for cakes and other baked goods. Fruits such as pineapple, cherries, and peaches are among the favorites. Of course there will always be the various forms of whipped and other types of cream that we love to pile on top of our desserts. Kids often enjoy adding candy such as sprinkles to add both color and flavor. Pretty much anything sweet that we like can be used to top off our desserts.
