The food can come in the form of various agricultural products such as fruits and vegetables and grains or from animals. There are similar fields for different crops all over the world. Other farms specialize in animal based products. The dairy farm is one example of this. Dairy farms exist for the primary purpose of extracting milk from animals such as cows and goats. Like many modern farms, most dairy farms use technology to increase the output beyond what was possible when milking animals manually. Another common type of animal farm is the poultry farm where chickens, ducks, and turkeys are raised for their eggs as well as to be used as food. Farms can be large commercial enterprises or very small family businesses.
