There are some “free range” farms where the animals are allowed to roam around outside for part of the day, but these are the exception and not the rule for poultry farms. Chickens are often plumped up with unhealthy foods and chemicals that may also have an impact on the food that we eat. Many people also have concerns about the methods in which the animals are slaughtered. Chicken is one of the most popular foods in the world and most people don’t think about where they come from; but those that have examined the conditions of poultry farms have many concerns.
