It takes a little effort, but there are healthier choices that most kids will enjoy. Breakfast is a great place to start. You can start by giving kids their favorite sugar based cereal, but add fresh berries and some vanilla yogurt. This will make for a breakfast that they will love but one that has much more nutritional value than their usual fare. This general philosophy of adding healthy ingredients to the unhealthy foods that they enjoy is a great way of showing kids that healthy food can still be delicious. Replacing French fries with sweet potatoes and fried chicken fingers with baked chicken fingers or even roasted chicken are other examples.
