The raw food diet consists mostly or entirely (depending on the individual) of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains and other food that is found in nature and not processed or cooked in any way. Raw food proponents are typically classified based on their beliefs in the absolute or relative value of eating raw food. Some will only eat raw, completely uncooked food. Others may mildly cook food, and still others may even allow some animal products such as milk and eggs. Some who classify themselves as vegetarians may eat fish as well.
