As we now know, many traits are not so distinctly mapped to male or female behavior. These two-dimensional dichotomies really fall apart when we consider transgender, gay and lesbian people. Yet the discussion of gender differences continues and often clouds our relationships. Each gender tries to explain differences in preferences and behavior on gender differences rather than admitting that each individual is a unique mix of male and female attitudes and preferences.
