Informal weddings held at less specific locations such as on a beach, or in the garden of a friend, need not be planned so far in advance. Other wedding items that require some lead time include printing of the wedding stationery, getting the wedding gown, ordering the reception food from a caterer, reserving the date with a professional photographer and booking hotel accommodations for out of town guests.
