How DID the Elephant get its Trunk82

How DID the Elephant get its Trunk

The elephant's trunk is it's arm and can pick up a pin or tear down a tree. The elephant can use it it to communicate, to smell a snake a mile away and as a snorkel. Creationists consider the Elephant's trunk a failure of the Theory of Evolution but this is because no one knows how the trunk arose. A scenario whereby the trunk could have evolved is given but is vulnerable to future fossil finds.
