It’s impossible to talk about baseball either historically or currently without referencing statistics. Even casual fans know who has the record for most home runs, or consecutive games with hits. That brings us to fantasy baseball where fans get to draft their own teams and compete against other fans based on the statistical performance of the players selected. Fantasy leagues in some sports seem like a stretch; but not baseball. Spending a season being obsessed with statistical performances seems perfectly normal for baseball fans.
