However we describe cricket its popularity made it inevitable that fantasy leagues would be formed by devoted fans. Like all other fantasy sports fantasy cricket is formed by fans participating in leagues where they select individual players to create their own teams. The performance of the individual players dictates the success of the fantasy teams. Fantasy cricket is largely internet based and there is considerable gambling that takes place on the results.
