The most popular event in gymnastics is the Olympic Games. The women’s and men’s gymnastics competitions are always among the most popular events of the Summer Olympics. It is somewhat ironic that a sport that is so enjoyed by millions of people during the Olympics gets very little attention at other times. There are World Championships that take place yearly, but they are not nearly as popular. Other than a small number of dedicated fans and those directly involved in the sport, gymnastics viewing is limited to once every four years.
