Don’t let that fool you though; lacrosse can be very popular in many locations. National college competitions are often seen on television and can draw large crowds of people to the matches. For those who are not familiar with the game; lacrosse is played with a ball that is passed and shot by using sticks with small baskets at the end that hold the ball. The object is to shoot the ball past a goalkeeper and score a goal. Lacrosse looks something like hockey, but the ball is transferred in the air rather than on the ground or ice.
