Every parent who has children understands the key to keeping kids out of trouble is making sure that they are busy and have proper role models. Parents do the best they can, but there are times when we are not available to be with our kids. Organizations such as the Boy Scouts, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and Junior Achievement are examples of outstanding organizations that offer the types of programs that keep out kids busy while learning valuable skills. As all kids are different it’s important to find the right activity for each child. Some kids enjoy sports and will benefit from participating in that while other kids might enjoy activities at the local church or temple. Most towns have excellent choices for our children; it’s just a question of selecting wisely.
