Then DVD technology came about and those players and recorders were needed to watch our favorite movies. Before long there was Blu-Ray and we were again wondering if we needed to upgrade. They afford us the opportunity to watch movies as well as burn movies or other digital files to the disks. DVD’s have large amounts of storage capacity and are useful for storing any kind of digital files. Depending on the quality of our televisions we might not even be able to view all of the resolution from Blu-Ray players. For most people the DVD player and recorder is a solid solution that will serve them well. If you choose to upgrade to Blu-Ray you probably won’t regret it, but it isn’t necessary.
