In the world of consumer electronics we hear lots of words thrown around. It is sometimes hard to understand what each component does. One device we sometimes hear about is the tuner. For many other applications though, the tuner is the most important component that makes the device work. An example of this would be the radio that lets us hear satellite radio in our car. The radio tuner picks up and decodes the signal so we can listen to the music. Any type of signal that needs to be decoded will require a tuner. HD radio is another example of technology that requires a tuner as is traditional AM and FM radio.
