For many of us the technology of our youth will always have a place in our heart. That would be one of the explanations for the renewed popularity of vinyl records. Records were the most popular method of recording and listening to music for many years. Everyone had a turntable in their home to play the records. These records had a larger hole in the middle and an accessory was needed to play those records on the turntable. If often took the form of a piece of plastic that slotted onto the turntable. With the plastic piece in place the 45 would fit perfectly onto the turntable. It makes listening to an iPod sound easy doesn’t it? There is actually more music being recorded on vinyl records today than a few years ago. Who knows how long it will last, but it may be time to dust off that old turntable.
