Vonage provides a product that is designed to replace your traditional house phone. By connecting their equipment through your internet connection you use their service that enables regular phone calls with a standard type telephone. Just like the phone company you pay them a monthly fee. Skype operates primarily from the computer using a headset. It typically doesn’t replace a house phone, but is used to make inexpensive or free calls to distant locations. Skype is a software download that allows users to make free calls to other Skype users anywhere in the world.
