The technology of the internet makes this easy. As anyone with an email account knows; some advertisers blast out huge numbers of emails to any list that they can find. Despite laws attempting to limit spam, it’s still not unusual for many of us to have our inboxes filled with far too many of these unwanted advertisements. Spamming can be done in ways other than with email as well. Many blogs allow commenting from anyone online. Some people take this opportunity to enter a meaningless comment just so they can include a link to some form of advertisement. As long as there is money to be made by doing it, spamming is likely to continue.
