I love this hub! I lived in Germany many years ago, and I can relate. Now that Berlin is whole again, I didn't know it was the largest city in Europe. I'm glad I read your list.

The average German drinks only 5.6 liters of beer a year? I find that hard to believe! Some people drink that much in one night!

I see I commented here nearly 2 years ago. I have to make an additional comment.

"5. Germany is the leading producer of toilet paper. The German People only like to use the best that can be offered. The Toilet paper in Germany is very vibrant and soft usually has the thickness of a dish towel"

This must be a recent development. When I visited Germany in 1982, they were using crude wrinkled gray paper. Also, some of their toilets were awful - no seat, you stood over a hole in the ground! I'm glad they've improved some things since!

I think the idea of a western toilet as some call them where you it down is that it must only be used at home. I'm currently living in china and having a sit down toliet here as well is also considered unhygienic as long as it is in public.
