7 Summer Based, All Inclusive Resorts in Florida

Updated on October 31, 2014

Florida is a great state for a summer vacation. One great way of enjoying a vacation is by staying in summer all inclusive resorts in Florida. While not as many resorts in the USA are all inclusive, especially when compared to places like the Caribbean or Mexico, there are quite a few options for summer all inclusive resorts in Florida. The great thing about an all inclusive resort is that all the little details are taken care of. Furthermore, worrying about bar tabs and meal planning is not a problem at an all inclusive resort. Many resorts also supply a lot of free entertainment options to keep their guests happy. (Such as beach volleyball nets and arcades)

The Club Med Sandpiper Bay is an all inclusive resort in Port Saint Lucie, which is located between Orlando and Miami, on the eastern coast of Florida. This all inclusive resort is not located on a white powdery sand beach but actually located along a river, while the beach is accessible by taxicab or car. Its unique location along a river actually makes it a beautiful location for a resort. Amenities at this resort include tennis courts, golf course, three swimming pools and restaurants and bars. Certain activities are also included in the all inclusive packages such as tennis, archery and sailing. This is a largely family oriented resort with several services targeted specifically to families with young children.

The Sirata Beach Resort is another great family friendly all inclusive resort that offers a host of amenities including special discount packages for holidays and advance bookings. This resort also has an excellent pet friendly policy. Beach volleyball, game room, and more are all available through this resort.

Turtle Beach Resort in Sarasota is a beautiful resort with cottage style accommodation. The views are breath taking. Each cottage has its own private hot tub and hammock. Pets are even welcome in specific cottages.

Lido Beach Resort is another all inclusive option that is also located in Sarasota. It is located on a private beach and within driving distance of Sarasota's attractions for tourists and holidaymakers. This lodge is also pet-friendly for those travelers looking for an all inclusive resort that will also accept pets.

The Little Palm Island Resort located in the Florida Keys is a luxury all inclusive resort. This resort is quite expensive but it certainly delivers on luxury. This resort is unique in that there are no televisions so that guests can connect with their surroundings on the island. Also, all guests at this resort must be over the age of sixteen, so while this is a great resort for adults it is not targeted to families with children.

Long Boat Key Club and Resort is a located on a barrier island situated in the Gulf of Mexico. It is a beach front resort with lush gardens. This resort prides in itself for being environmentally-friendly. It has a total of eight restaurants and boasts award winning tennis courts, as well as a full service spa, and a kid's club that organizes activities for children. This resort is open year round but is great to visit during the summer due to the water activities offered during the period.

Another all inclusive resort in Florida that is great to visit during the summer is the South Seas Island Resort. This resort offers family activities for all ages, on site recreation and a busy calendar of events to keep guests entertained throughout their stay. This resort is in close proximity to Fort Myers for visitors who are looking to get away from the resort and explore nearby attractions.
