Amanpulo Island in the Phillippines
Your visit to Amanpulo Island in The Philippines starts even before you get there! Upon arrival at the Manila International Airport, you are met at the terminal and whisked off to the hotel's own private plane, which in turn takes you straight to the resort. Now that's style!
The resort is located in an exclusive island in the northern part of Palawan province which is south of the capital Manila.
When you arrive, the first thing that you will do is be given a grand tour of the resort before you are taken to your villa.
We were fortunate to have a beach casitas, which was situated a foot away from what was in effect our own private, exclusive beach. It was a breath-taking sight of exquisite beauty. Just imagine, if you will, looking at what looks like white talcum powder in the distance, with a background of a sea of turquoise, pale-blue and green. I thought that the Seychelles Islands was the most beautiful I had ever seen. Not anymore!
The casitas had wall-to-wall windows, which gave a spectacular view of the beach. It also had a king-sized bed as well as a dressing area and a tub and shower-all of top-tier quality.
Outside, there was a large sun deck equipped with two-day beds and hammocks-all in total privacy. There were all the comforts of home-cotton robes, towels and toiletries and fresh fruit daily. This was no surprise, for the food in Amanpulo has the reputation of being exquisite. They had an ala carte menu with daily specials. In fact, the chef cooked whatever you liked, and you could eat anytime of the day or night. A gastrointestinal paradise indeed! This was especially notable of the beach paellas and barbecues.
This resort doesn't have entertainment in the hotel itself; you have to go outside for that; most of the entertainment could be found on the beach and underwater. Two words best describe Amanpulo and the experience you are bound to have when you visit the place - tropical paradise!
Another plus about visiting Amanpulo is the classy and professional treatment, which renders the resort as being among the finest resorts anywhere.
