Aquatica Water Park at Sea World, Orlando FL...
One of the best water parks in all of Florida is located at Sea World and their relatively new Aquatica Water Park! Central Florida has many great water parks including Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon at Walt Disney World, but Aquatica is special because of its relationship to Sea World and the many tropical and sea life themes… It’s a very popular park in the Orlando FL area, and a great way to cool off during the hot summer months the area is known for!
There are many awesome slides, rides, and attractions at Aquatica, including Cutback Cove & Big Surf Shores, Dolphin Plunge, Kata’s Kookaburra Cove, Loggerhead Lane, and Roa’s Rapids… People come from all around the world to visit Orlando FL and experience this wonderful water park, in addition to the many other fantastic attractions in the area.
Many Great Rides and Slides at Aquatica...
Roa’s Rapids is an amazing journey along a fast moving river with eddies and currents, a sea of high tides, and gushing geysers, and is one of the most popular attractions at Aquatica… On the Walhalla Wave & HooRoo Run, get ready for a six story maze of twisting turns, corners, and tunnels before getting thrown back into daylight! HooRoo is a New Zealand expression for goodbye, but be prepared to say it quickly because your raft will get pushed over the side and the long drop down to the bottom before you get a chance to take a breath! It’s an incredibly fun ride!
Many of the rides in Aquatica have a height restriction, so small children may not be able to go on some of them… Cutback Cove & Big Surf Shores is another great attraction at the park that is unique among other water parks. They have two side by side wave pools that create waves up to 5 feet high. Cutback Cove always has good waves rolling in, but Big Surf Shores has a timetable, and they can be high, low, slow, or fast depending on the time… It’s a great place to enjoy some body surfing!
Omaka Rocka is a tube slide that will take you on half pipe funnels and high speed tubes that will literally have you climbing the walls! Lots of fun… The Dolphin Plunge is a very unique slide, because it takes the guest through the underwater habitat of the dolphin area! This is an amazing experience, but you are usually moving way too fast to see anything of the dolphins. They are sure to be checking you out on their side though, as they have a naturally inquisitive mind and like to stay involved!
Tassie's Twisters and Walkabout Waters at Aquatica...
An insanely different type of slide is Tassie’s Twisters, which takes a little bit of work just to get to the entrance, but it’s half the fun! Lightning fast tubes will shoot you into a bowl where you will spin around and round until you eventually get spat out back into the lazy river… The lazy river at Aquatica is second to none, and it’s called the Loggerhead Lane lazy river. It’s one of the largest in the area, and there are some awesome ones at other water parks! This leisurely raft ride takes you on a journey through an exploration of tropical fish and underground caverns… If you like lazy rivers don’t miss this one!
Walkabout Waters at Aquatica is an amazing place for kids,
and they will love climbing all over this attraction with plenty of
