Around Linan China
Out of the way place
Our university two day trip took us to places such as Tianmu Mountain, Qingshan Lake, and Linan which is in the north west area of Zhejiang province, not far from Hangzhou.
The area is known for its bamboo. The place that we stayed at was certainly "off the beaten track" and quite remote, and I think we'd be some of the first "foreigners" to visit the area, judging the look of surprise on the faces of the locals as I walked along the roadway!
There were many bamboo groves, and tea growing on the side of the hills. It is a quiet pretty place, well away from the noisy cities. The only sound is that of the rushing water, and the birds and the occasional noisy vehicle plying its way along the road.
Enjoy the photos.

Senior Solo Women - they appear to be a cohort that in some communities are "forgotten". Am looking to do some research on this group.
One of the things that is glaringly obvious in China is the poor quality of dental health. Just look at any of the sea of faces anywhere in China and you are likely to see a mouth full of awful teeth. I can understand...
