Beauty in Scenery; Beauty in Women: Hawaii Is the Perfect Beautiful Islands
Yes! Yes! Greetings from the Aloha State. No, I have not gone on vacation but when I think about these lovely islands I remember the time I was fortunate to visit the exciting culture. It was the first time I visited America and at the time it was not what I expected. But soon I was to learn that Hawaii is a unique part of America, just as many other states are, but all unique in different ways.
The first thing that impresses visitors to Hawaii must always be the beautiful natural scenery that is found everywhere on the islands. Exotic plants and striking cliffs are surrounded everywhere by crystal clear ocean. Waterfalls crash down into gentle lakes and streams. Everywhere beautiful birds swoop and sing their island songs. It is truly paradise and the land is just the start. The beautiful women of the islands are a sight to behold!
Hawaii was the 50th state to join the United States but this was way back in 1959 so they are pretty much a state as long as many people can remember. The islands are located in the central Pacific Ocean. The United States mainland lies to Hawaii's northeast and is usually traveled to by plane. Some people do not realize Hawaii is more than just one island and is even more than the eight main islands in the chain but actually a group of over 100 islands.
One of the most popular activities on the islands is surfing both for pleasure and for competition. Many young ladies enjoy watching the surfers and hanging out at the beaches with the sand and surf. They come with boyfriends or with groups of friends to enjoy the show that is on the water and the waves. But this is quickly almost becoming a thing of the past as many girls are no longer content to wait on the beach.
For years watching the surfers was the limit for most girls, but these times have changed and now many girls are joining the ranks of surfers rather than just being satisfied to be the passive watcher. While there have almost always been a few girls who would surf for fun, now almost all girls will ride the waves for the joy of it but also many who will compete to see if they can be a champion. Though they do not compete against the guys, the girls still strive to be as good as or better than their male counterparts.
Who knows if in the future the girls will compete with the boys? This could be fun to watch though there are those who feel it would not be fair as the physiques of men and women are certainly different and some feel the men would have the advantage. But for now, we can all be happy to watch each other as we compete. (Not me though, as I can barely swim much less ride on a surfboard! Ha! I will have to stick to the watching!)
Another traditional activity that you will find in abundance on the islands is hula dancing. Many people do not realize that there is more than one type of hula dancing. It is not like The Twist or The Charleston that is a particular dance but rather it is a type of dancing with many styles like ballroom dancing. The older styles are generally grouped together and known as kahiko which is accompanied by chanting and perhaps traditional Hawaiian instruments while the more modern styles, accompanied by singing and instruments like guitars and the ukulele, are grouped together as ʻauana . These each have many styles within them.
The instrumentation for hula kahiko is mostly comprised of drums, rattles and rhythm sticks made from gourds, coconuts and bamboo. In traditional hula kahiko, the female dancers would be topless, but this facet of the dance has been altered in modern times. In the days before Hawaii became part of the United States, hula kahiko was away of paying tribute to high chiefs and was an act of fealty.
The more modern hula 'auana was adapted by Western influences and altered to fit the Christian morality of the West as well as the more melodic style of Western music. Costumes worn during hula 'auana vary somewhat though traditional attire may still play a role often mixed with more Western attire.
I hope I have shared with you a little of the joy that I experienced all those years ago when I visited the Hawaiian paradise. The beauty and tranquil surroundings are perfectly matched to the people who live there. Yes, the women are physically beautiful and I suppose it could be said that many of the men who are natives are handsome as well. But beyond the physical beauty is a beauty of spirit and it is this that truly makes Hawaii a special place! Aloha!
