Bellagio Las Vegas

That's definitely the best photo I've ever taken of the Bellagio Las Vegas. Bellagio intimidates me though. I've only gone in there two or three times... that place is like a museum full of art pieces worth millions of dollars each. I feel like I should be wearing a tuxedo and white gloves and a top hat.

Steve Wynn has a taste for luxury. First he was involved with Golden Nugget downtown (which I think he still owns)... then he convinced Howard Hughes to sell him some land; where he built the Mirage and Treasure Island. Then Bellagio. You can see the progression now that Wynn and Encore at Wynn have been completed. Each new construction project is more and more luxurious. And more expensive (Wynn was $2.7 billion.)

Bellagio has a very frilly European Renaissance type of design while Wynn and Encore utilize a modern looking, clean, linear style of design. Venetian and Palazzo also fall into that European style category and are included in the list of the top six or seven Las Vegas strip resorts.
Bellagio Las Vegas fountains
The big deal at Bellagio is the musical fountain shows, which take place every half hour during the afternoon, then every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to midnight. I usually walk on by without stopping but did stop in December 2008 because I recognized the music from a Clint Eastwood movie, I think "The Good The Bad and The Ugly." Not the famous theme, another song near the end where this woman is going "ahhh ahhh, ahhhh ahhhh, ahahahah" all emotional. The fountains shoot up somewhat in synch with the music.
Bellagio Las Vegas
Bellagio has a great location across from the Paris, in between Caesars Palace and CityCenter... and is one of the most upscale and luxurious properties in the city. If you think of yourself as James Bond (or one of his dates) at the baccarat tables then this may be the perfect place for you. We consider Bellagio along with Wynn/Encore and Venetian/Palazzo the five best Las Vegas strip resorts... or you could call them three resorts, since Encore is actually an added second tower to Wynn and Palazzo is an additional tower to Venetian.
