Marina beach is the second longest beach and it is one of the best tourist spot in South India. In South India, there are so many tourist places to visit. Especially temples in Tamilnadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. So many foreigners are visiting temples and learning the customes of Indians, especially south indians culture.

The reason why the marina is famous because Marina beach in Chennai is the 2nd longest beach. The marina beach is the best entertainment for people living around Chennai. Daily there are so many visitors visiting Chennai for Trading, Tourism, Vacation and so many reasons. Those coming to Chennai for whatever the reason may be, they like to visit this Marina beach. During summer season, the crowd will be more. Children will love to come to this beach because this is one of the best entertainment and also there are so many shops for children to buy toys.
There are shops not only for children and also lot of stalls for eatable items like snacks, ice creams, Bhelpuri, panipuri and other masala foods available near the beach itself. So there is no need to go for long for eatable items. Also there are small stalls for fish fry. These stalls will give sea foods including fresh fish fry as people love to eat very much.
There will be a heavy crowd during the evening hours. On weekends like Saturday and Sunday, people with their family members will come here to enjoy till night. Since Chennai is so hot for most days, people love to gather with their family members and friends.
Land marks in Marina Beach
Anna Square is one of the the best land mark in Marina Beach. Anna Square, the name because the ex-chief minister of Tamilnadu, Mr.Anna Durai who was famous for his discipline, simplicity, his memorial place near Marina beach. Also another chief minister of Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.Ramachandran, shortly called as M.G.R, who was elected three times in Tamilnadu as Chief minister, his memorial place called 'MGR samadhi'.
There is a swimming pool near marina beach which is also famous. During weekends, people will come to this swimming pool.
Nappier bridge is one of the oldest bridge which is a great land mark near Marina Beach. This bridge was constructed during the British rule in India.
How to reach Marina Beach
Marina beach is located at the Heart of the city of Chennai. From Chennai Airport, it is around 25 kilometers. From Chennai Central Railway station, one can reach Marina beach by an Auto rickshaw or Taxi available in the railway station. It is very near to the Chennai Central Railway station.From Airport, you can travel through bus, taxi cars or train facility available. It will take around 45 minutes to one hour from Chennai airport called Meenambakkam or Trisulam to marina beach.
There is no entry fee to marina beach, free to enter for all. So whenever you got a chance to visit Chennai, it is the best option to visit Marina beach and it will be a unforgettable moment for you. So visit Marina beach for a wonderful experience.
